Here it is the end of September and I have to say that I’m ready for the cooler weather. I can’t wait to leave the windows open at night while I sleep with the fresh air rustling the curtains. The only thing better is sleeping under the stars out in the woods.

The last of the garden veggies are racing to ripen before the first frost. I think this weekend might be the last time I have to mow the lawn for the season unless it rains and I can’t get to it.

The leaves will be turning color very soon and we’ll all be digging through the closets looking for long sleeves and sweaters. I love autumn!

I’ll tell you all something that I have been noticing more and more as time goes by through the years. Viruses, there’s more and more viruses everyday on as many sites as the people creating the viruses can get them on.

For example, I have a friend who had asked for my help with their computer because they were having trouble with it, so I went over and ran a simple Virus scan. Around here the best ice cream you can buy is either Ben & Jerrys or Breyers. They are both really good in their own ways.

The Ben & Jerrys has a lot of exotic flavors. They specialize in pint size containers with lots of added flavors. They have chunks of chocolate, big pieces of cherries or strawberries and lots of other fruits and nuts.

Breyers is more of the old fahsioned type of ice cream. It has some fruit but only to enhance the flavor of the cream. I can buy a half gallon of the Breyer’s strawberry and it will ast a couple weeks because I have tremendous willpower that stops me from eating the entire thing at one sitting. It’s THAT good.

When I was a kid it was big deal in my house to get the daily newspaper. We had two papers deliverd to our house every day. In the mornings we had the Washington Post. Then in the afternoons we had the Evening Star. Later on a third newspaper opened up shop and called itself the Washington Times. And then later there came along the USA Today. Our area makes a lot of news and there are plenty of newspapers ready to cover that news.

Tonight I want to do something different. Its been a long time since I’ve gone out to the movie theater and seen a movie on the big screen. I’m not sure what movie I want to see, but I jsut have the urge to get out there and see something. Life is more than just going home from work and vegging on the couch.
