The Tennessee Titans have the perfect opportunity to shine tonight. The Monday Night Football game being broadcast tonight is a rare event for the Titans. The fact that they are playing the Colts probably has a lot to do with the network’s decision to feature these two teams. However, Tennessee has the only 6-0 record in the league and has a lot on the line with tonight’s game.

I was glad to see Hank Williams Jr on the field to start the game off, Music City style. After all, everyone who has ever watched football in the past 20 years must recognize Hank’s legendary call, “Are you ready for some football?!?!”

If you ever get the chance to listen to Leslie Ellis sing, you will hear the sweetest voice in all of Nashville. This woman has a marvelous voice and she won a Grammy to prove it. Pretty, too!

How much to tip a valet? Most times I go somewhere I park my own car. I try to leave early enough to find a parking spot in a nearby garage and walk to where I have to go. But sometimes you can’t find a spot, or I’m in a huge hurry, or the weather is bad, or you have a date wearing high heels and walking several blocks is not practical. There are several good reasons for needing to use a valet on occasion. So there is the question of how much to tip the guy who takes your keys and parks your car for you. Plus there is the guy who brings the car back to you. So which one do you tip? Or do you tip both? How much?

The sixth weekend of football and almost all the teams have had upsets.

First of all, I cannot believe that the Redskins lost. To the worst team in the NFL. I cannot believe that happened.

The Cardinals almost lost to Dallas in a nail biter game. The score see sawed all over the place the entire game and it came down to the last few seconds when St. Louis miraculously blocked the Dallas punt to steal the win. Crazy.

In college ball on Saturday, Texas beat Oklahoma to take the #1 spot away from OU. Unbelievable.

Vandy lost to Mississippi and broke their winning streak. And the University of Tennessee lost AGAIN. How does Fulmer keep his job after all this? Last year was bad enough, but they haven’t won a single game this year either. Time for Fulmer to get the axe and bring in someone who can help this team win a game.

OK - I think I’ve done a pretty good job keeping my posts upbeat and forward tihinking. I know I can fuss and whine with the best of them. But really - do I deserve this honorary award? You tell me!
